I have friends who haven’t had a full night’s sleep in like six months and I don’t know how they are surviving. Even now at nine months, on the occasional nights she is sick and has a few wake ups, I feel like the next day at work is 10x harder. It’s also just, for me, everything was so so much harder before we started getting good sleep. We are lending ours to my SIL so I haven’t been able to resell, but I regularly see them go for 600-700 here and we paid just over $800 when it was on sale, so especially with the resale value yeah I think it’s 100% worth it. So, I don’t think I could ask for anything more. And not having to worry about her rolling to her stomach was a big deal to me. She never had a sleep regression and transitioned to the crib with zero effort. Baby started sleeping 7 hour stretches by about 7 weeks and increased from there until she was doing 10-11 by 12 weeks and 11-12 by about 16 weeks. I’ve definitely seen reviews saying it’s garbage and didn’t work. I think it’s a little hard to answer this because every baby is so different. But it's a recurring purchase and holy shit are they worth it for disposing of poops. Most of the other stuff on our registry weren't that expensive in comparison, but 4 of those that were worth it are:īaby K'tan mesh wrap carrier (newborn stage)īabyBjorn carrier (after around 4 months)īoppy nursing pillow (toddler loves sitting in it even now)Ĭloth diaper liners - this may be kind of cheating because individually, one roll is like $12 for 200 sheets. The only downside is its weight and size which makes it cumbersome to take on the subway, so we ended up getting a basic $20 umbrella stroller for situations where we need to take our toddler (who's too heavy for a carrier) on the subway. A big part of the reason I picked this stroller is how easily it can adapt to 2 kids. The big basket has been great for groceries and storing baby supplies, and the big wheels have been great for navigating uneven sidewalks. This! We live in a ground floor apartment in NYC and have no car so any errands we run would be by foot.
